After 25 years in the Yorkshire Dales, overlooking the valley of the River Ribble, my husband Michael and I have recently moved south to Eastbourne, on the coast of East Sussex. We have been together for over 40 years, and became civil partners in 2009. This was 'upgraded' to a marriage in 2015.

Music of all kinds is a major part of my life - classical, jazz and pop. Favourite composers would be Elgar and Mozart in the classical world, George Gershwin and Cole Porter in the popular. Favourite artists include Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tormé, George Shearing, Oscar Peterson ... and many others too numerous to name! Recent discoveries include Keith Urban, Billy Gilman, Brandon Stansell, Troy Sylvan, Ben Platt and Steve Grand.

I have loved reading all my life, particularly biography, contemporary history, detective fiction and romantic m/m fiction. I love theatre of all kinds, and go regularly locally, in the West End and to Chichester Festival Theatre most summers.

Writing has been part of my life since schooldays, and I started to write my first novel when I was 17 - even if it did take me 50 years to finish and publish it! In fact, most of my career since the late 1980s has been about writing and creating narratives - around my work as an analyst and consultant as well as in fiction.
